About the Job

The Society of Manufacturing Engineers is looking for an Administrative Coordinator to support our Certification department, within the Professional Development group of SME.

APPLY HERE!!! MAJOR FUNCTIONS:

· Process written correspondence and other departmental assignments using a variety of word processing, data input, spreadsheet, and data base software. · Contact others to obtain information. · Organize correspondence, reports, etc. for review and signature; based on review, provide information and/or compose correspondence. · Coordinate materials and arranges in-person meetings and virtual meetings, programs, or events. · Open and route incoming mail, send mail and faxes. · Maintain and/or create department filing, supplies, and other resources; protects confidentiality of material as appropriate. · Oversee special projects. · Train and mentor Administrative Coordinators. · Manage and maintain various office equipment and personal equipment and personal computer needs. · Answer telephone, screen calls, take messages, and make appropriate call dispositions. · May provide on-site support at events. · Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

· High School Diploma or equivalent. · Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software; excellent keyboard skills, grammar, and vocabulary skills. · Excellent organization, time management, human relations, and communication skills. · Minimum of three years related work experience · Working knowledge of database software. · Team oriented. · Able to work in fast-paced, multi-task environment. · Effective written and verbal skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

· Normal office environment.
