Title: HP Pre-Sales Technical Consultant

Location: United States-Missouri - St. Louis

HP Pre-Sales Technical Consultant - HP Partner Managed Print Services (HP P-MPS)

HP helps businesses optimize, manage, and improve printing and imaging environments through award-winning HP Managed Print Services programs. HP Partner Managed Print Services (HP P-MPS) allows business to access HPs industry leading portfolio of Print Management and Managed Document software and support services through eligible partners of their choice. HP is hiring a Software Support Analyst to join the HP P-MPS Analyst Team in support of our Managed Print and Managed Document software clients.

As a member of the HP P-MPS analyst team, your tasks will include: Software Pre-Sales Technical Consultant for HP PMPS Print Management and Managed Document software clients Work with sales reps, clients, and account management teams to sell, deploy, and resolve client software issues and change requests Manage or assist with software and solution implementation on an as-needed basis throughout the complete project lifecycle

Manage or assist with copier configuration and implementation on an as-needed basis throughout the complete project lifecycle Prepare and participate with sales reps in pre-sales engagement activities and participate with HP account managers in Quarterly Business Reviews of software clients

Consult and train sales reps and clients on utilizing additional features of Print Management and Managed Document software to continually improve client workflows Ensure sales rep and clients satisfaction with HP P-MPS software and the HP P-MPS software support experience

Maintain high level Customer satisfaction by clarifying Customer needs and ensuring that they are met

Handle Customer-relation problems promptly and appropriately, escalate issues according to established procedures Provide software service, post-sales or service delivery support and solve applications problems for remote or local accounts, on standard and specialized systems

Provide direct post-sales systems technical support to end users and HP Authorized Service Providers

Solve technical problems on an assigned hardware and software platforms Use proactive monitoring procedures/tools to identify problem prevention opportunities

Accountable for company policies and procedures to complete a wide variety of internal and Customer facing tasks

System level technical knowledge effecting customer business level availability Independent judgment exercised affecting HP escalation processes

Knowledge and Skills

5 plus years of demonstrated experience in the administration, service, and support of networked Microsoft Server/Desktop environments.

Experience with Microsoft Active Directory required (configuration and administration)

Proficiency with Microsoft programs including SQL, Visio, SharePoint, and Office Demonstrated ability to fully resolve client support issues quickly, accurately, and efficiently

Excellent ability to communicate technical resolutions to clients via phone and in person

Very strong troubleshooting and customer communication skills

Experience with device driver and network printer/copier configuration required Technical pre-sales experience in the software industry a plus A , Network , PDI or equivalent certifications or experience a plus

Other Desired Qualifications

SharePoint 2010 (or 2007) administration and design: SharePoint Designer, Forms, Workflows, Lists, etc.

Proven experience in business process, document workflow, and design processes Programming experience a plus

Familiar with SQL table structures and design

Docuware trained technician or pre-sales consultant

Experience with installation, configuration, and support of print management software (Equitrac, HP Access Control, etc. )

Demonstrated experience with printer/copier installation and configuration

Education and Experience Required:

Minimum Vocational/Diploma/Associate Degree (technical field) equivalent with 2-4 years of working experience in related fields or Degree holder with 1-2 years relevant working experience

Knowledge and Skills Required:

Knowledge of corporate organization, job, and policies

Advanced knowledge of operating systems and software

Basic skills in project management

Strong communication skills, problem analysis, and presentation skills

Ability to develop Customer relationships

Ability to perform while under high-pressure situations

Ability to work in a team environment

Basic networking, O/S, and troubleshooting knowledge

Detailed understanding of general/technical aspects of the onsite system repair job
